ISC’s vision is to promote science as a course of global public welfare; it’s mission is to be spokesman of science.

The four strategic objectives of the International Council for Science: promoting international research and funding related to major global challenges; strengthening evidence-based understanding and decision-making at all levels of public policy, discussion and action; supporting countries around the world to advance scientific rigor in a coordinated and collaborative manner, promote creativity and relevance; protect scientific freedom and advocate responsible principles of scientific practice.
